FEAT (Female Engineers, Architects & Technologists) is an organization, located in Saskatoon, formed to provide a relaxed opportunity to network and share with other women over lunch. The group grew exponentially from 10 women at its infancy to currently over 140 women. The sustainability of the group works on a volunteer basis and we currently see 20-30 different women who participate monthly.
Recently the College of Engineering initiated a networking opportunity with the women of FEAT and female engineering students at the CJ Mackenzie Awards Gala as a way to promote networking with industry women. Many of the women who participate in FEAT are from Saskatchewan, however there have been participants from as far as Australia and Costa Rica. There have been employment success stories and most of all, lots of sharing and laughs.
